European safety standards and certification
Children are our top priority. That’s why, from the very beginning of the design process, we ensure that each of our monkey jungles complies with European safety standards. While we follow children’s imagination, we always remember the regulations that guarantee the safest play environment for little ones. We care about the safety of our products from the first sketch to the last screw.
The primary legal act regarding safety is the PN-EN 1176 standard, a set of European guidelines for the safety of playgrounds and their surfaces. It specifies detailed requirements that must be met by both individual playground equipment elements and entire playgrounds. The standard aims to ensure maximum safety for users, primarily children, during play. It contains information on the construction of equipment, materials used for their production, and asembly-installation methods.
Certifications: All our structures are designed in accordance with the requirements of the PN-EN 1176 safety standards. However, we cannot certify the monkey jungle ourselves, as this would violate the principle of objectivity. We cooperate with independent certification bodies, with whom we consult our projects at the design stage to ensure that the final structure meets the legal requirements and obtains the aforementioned certificate.
The Certificate of Compliance with the PN-EN 1176 standard is official confirmation that the playground complies with European safety standards. These standards specify the requirements for the design, construction, installation, and operation of playgrounds, ensuring a high level of safety for children using these facilities. The benefits of having this certificate include:
1. Child safety: The certificate ensures that the playground meets rigorous safety standards. Elements such as shock-absorbing surfaces, properly secured edges, and structural elements designed to minimize the risk of injury.
2. Investor safety: The certificate provides a form of protection in the event of an accident or unforeseen event.
3. Minimization of accidents: Obtaining a certificate means that the playground has been designed, installed, and will be operated in accordance with strict requirements, which reduces the risk of accidents and injuries.
4. Trust and credibility: Having a certificate is a testament to parents, guardians, or facility managers that the place has been evaluated and meets international safety standards.
